This morning was my 6 month check up and cleaning at the dentist.
It's confirmed! Dr. Gyno any old day over Mr.Plaque.
Three main reasons:
- One quick scrape vs. 10 minutes of scraping and drooling.
- One tool inside vs. three or more (scraper, water squirter, mirror and so on)
- One visit a year vs. twice a year.
Pretty sad when I'm wishing I was in stirrups rather than the dentist chair.

For me, dentist any day. And, well...there's a reaason why "NO" is at the end of GYNO!!

Ona, if you read some of my past posts, you'll see that I have a fear of the dentist. Dentophobia.
I would rather give birth than go to the dentist, not even kidding. And I gave birth with no drugs.

Wow, compelling arguments. I'm going to have to disagree, however, and here's why: I don't drip when I leave the dentist. Case closed.
(Yes, that was gross, and I apologize. Pretend I'm not the pastor's wife right now, just a normal lady that drips after Dr. Gyno.)

I, personally, have never thought to compare the two...but since you have compared them, I will have to say, I would rather go to the dentist anyday. I HATE going to the GYNO!
Do you watch Desparate Houswives? Last week Susan went to the Gyno. I can identify with how she felt. There's no relaxing there!! I have no problem with the dentist.

Going to Dr. Gyno is the most humiliating experience, I absolutely despise it. And every time, I repeat every time, I am laying on that table, I think, "I really don't think God intended for women to have to go through this". Labor and delivery, yes. Dr. Gyno, no. In fact it's been 2 years since my last exam, that's how much I hate it! I think all you Dr. Gyno girls are crazy!
A few reasons I heart Dr. Gyno:
1. Gives me a reason to take a bath and shave my legs.
2. Attempting to get their patiences to relax during the pap....they ask the most random questions. "Can you scoot down a little more....a little more. Great. Sooooo do you shop at Albertsons or Safeway?"
See you can get a good old fashion conversation in. Refreshing.

Refreshing is sitting, fully clothed, in a reclined position with your feet up and your arms resting on the arm rests of the softly padded chair, listening to soft instrumental music and gazing at the beautiful posters of country scenery on the ceiling.
Amen, Liz! Becca, I think some of those shots you took had some sort of brainwashing element in them. It's all part of the evil and twisted Gyno conspiracy.

I contained my comments when I saw Valerie say sniff sniff, but drip? I can't say that Dr. McStirrups is relaxing but it over super fast, and no dripping for me, thanks.

I am going to have to go with all you gal's that think the Dentist is WAY better than the gyno. I'd rather have a root canal ANY DAY than go see the "downstairs" doctor. I get such bad anxiety before the gyno that I get a red rash on my chest!

Boo to the dentist and boo to the gyno..
But truly I would take the dentist over the gyno anyday. At leat when you leave the dentist you feel better and clean and what not when you leave the gyno its a whole different story.
