My girls and I got our "guy", for nine whole days! This hasn't happened in quite some time. Being the wife of a railroader definitely has it's downfalls and not seeing him is the biggest one.
We took advantage of every minute!
Started off with...
Friday
Enchanted Forest
The girls shared a few thrills and sno-cones with daddy.Jasmynn loved the "log ride".
And little Kaia is always up for some sugar!
Saturday
Surprise Graduation Party
Our friend Mark graduated from the electrician program. Friends and family celebrated his accomplishment and if you know Mark at all....he was very embarrassed.
Sunday/Monday
Beach
We headed off to Lincoln city and couldn't ask for a better day . The weather was perfect! Do you notice I emphasized day. That's because I ended up taking Jasmynn to the E.R. in the middle of the night. Scary!!! Poor Jasmynn suffers from Asthma and something at the beach triggered an attack. She ended up with three breathing treatments and a couple doses of steroids.Tuesday
Zoo
This was Kaia's first trip to the zoo. Awful!!!
I was a big dummy suggesting to go on Two Dollar Tuesday. We waited about 2 1/2 hours to get into the gates after being directed to get back on the freeway to be shuttled, then waiting an hour in line to get on the bus.
We had totally hyped up Kaia about seeing "monkeys". She loves monkey and she was so excited. We were dissapppointed...four monkeys, four stinkin monkeys doing nothing! It was so hot, that hardly any animals were out.
Our dissappointment didn't end there. We were in line for an hour to get on the "zoo train", with another hour and a half to wait and then we are informed that due to technical problems the train would be shut down and that we could get a refund. Our luck!
Never again...we are more than willing to pay full price.
Wednesday-Friday
Camping
This was another first for Kaia. Overall, it went well for being out of her comfort zone. She definitely let us know when she was tired. We tried everything, but no matter what we tried we just couldn't get her to take any naps.
Jasmynn had a blast playing in the water. We were little fishes due to the weather. Hot..hot...hot!!!
Saturday
Sisters Engagement Party
Finally...my sister has found her soul mate! Friends and family celebrated their engagement at Kathken Vinyards!
My sister Loreena in the middle (the fiance) and my other sister Linnea.
My sister and I did not plan wearing white dresses. I guess we were both feeling innocent and pure:)
(Thank you Liz for watching the girls!)
Today....sad to see him go back and thinking I need a vacation from this vacation!

Transition!
Kaia's a ''big" girl and loving it!
Here she's showing off she can jump:)
Last night was Kaia's first night sleeping in her toddler bed and slept all night too. Hooray...I thought I might have to put her crib rail back up in the middle of the night. Nope, she surprised me!
I had planned on leaving her in a crib a bit longer but after a trip to "Ikea", I changed my mind.
Yesterday, we headed to "Ikea" and the little toddler beds were so adorable. I got the idea, "hey, maybe it's time to transition her into a "big girl" bed. Kaia chose her new bedding, I gave her a choice of three, and she chose "Hippos".
I had a different image of her room, but, oh well!
Here she is pretending to sleep.
I did choose a couple "girly" night lights. I just loved these the last time I was there. So, before bedtime or naps, she gets to choose which night light she would like to have on.
So far the flower has won 2 out of 3.
This afternoon, before nap time, she was so excited to hop into bed. Without being rocked or a cup of milk, she tucked herself in, I gave her a kiss and she put herself to sleep.
Tonight went well again...so far that is!
(sigh!) She's growing up!

MAC
Yesterday Jasmynn had Sarah spend the night. The girls began there afternoon with a trip to the mall. I kindly asked the make up artist if the girls could get a make over. A little blue eye shadow, a touch of blush and a tad bit of clear lip gloss and voila!
Two Hot Mama's!
And of course, I couldn't leave without a few things myself.
After their make-over we headed to Bath & Body Works. The two took a bath in about 20 different scents. Wow!!!
No need for new refills of Wallflowers....they made my house smell like, well, not sure what scent, but it was good!
