Where Has This Month Gone?

I can't believe this month is almost over.
Just a few more weeks and Jasmynn will be out of school and summer is just around the corner...woo-hoo!!!

We've been so busy, but, having fun!

Here's a picture of Jasmynns first grade program. All the kids did a great job and had a blast.

T-ball takes up the majority of our time. I'm so proud of her. She's really coming out of her shell. She's trying new things and enjoying it. Well...most of the time. It's a real hassle to get the girl in her uniform.
And this particular day was very hot and the kids had the option to take their undershirt off. Her pants are a bit hiked up. Okay, okay a lot hiked up:)

I don't know how you moms do this with more than one child in sports. Thumbs up to all you moms!!!

Kaia just loves mimicking her older sister with the microphone and High School Musical soundtrack blasting. With Jas being gone for a couple days with grandpa, Kaia finally got a chance to sing her solo.

And after a busy week with the girls, I just can't wait to cuddle on the couch with this hunk!

A "Lie" Revealed

Thanks for playing along!

So, here it goes.

1. In college, I embarrassingly co-taught "salsa dancing" to earn a little extra money. Lessons anyone???

Being a Hispanic girl, people assume I have the rhythm of Shakira. Sorry, but, my hips do lie sometimes! However, I did take a jazz dance class in college. It was great fun!

2. My sophomore year in high school I sang and danced my heart out in our high school production "West Side Story."

I think to myself "what in the world was I thinking?" Yes, my sophomore year I did participate in "West Side Story." I think I was "Conchita" something Latino like that:) I was just a side line dancer and singer. I was too shy to try out for anything more! Even though it was so out of my comfort zone, I did enjoy every bit of it. I love to sing.
Oh...Becca, I'm way older than you. You were a freshman when I was a senior. You might have been thinking of my sister.

3. I had my first peanut butter and jelly sandwich shortly after I was 27 years old.

It was shortly after I had Jasmynn that I craved a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Never had I had one, so I thought I'd make myself one. Not bad! Twenty seven, can you believe that?
It wasn't till my mom was 52 that she had her first one, made courtesy of myself:)

Well there you have it.

I'm a deprived closet singer wanna be "Shakira."

Mommy, Jasmynn and Bears...Oh My!!!

Last week Jasmynn and I went with on her first grade field trip to the Portland Zoo. Holy Moly...it's been a long time since I've rode in a school bus. I didn't like it too much. I was squished and I got a headache:( Overall, we had a great time and it turned out to be a perfect day for the zoo, not too hot and not too cold.

This last picture of the elephant has to be one of my favorites.
